President’s Message
Another year has rolled around and we intend to kick off the 2007-2008 school year stronger and harder than we have ever done before. We just celebrated our 50th anniversary and the inauguration of our new University President, so it is only right that we keep accelerating, setting our expectations even higher and overcoming all limitations. On behalf of ASI, I would like to thank you for allowing us to serve you as your student representatives. Part of our mission is to ensure that your journey through college is achieved successfully. It is our goal as well as the University’s to support you in obtaining a well-rounded education in order to prepare you for a promising future.

Our role is to be the official voice of the students, inclusively promoting shared governance and providing services to all CSUEB students. We actively work to ensure that the students’ voices and views are heard and taken in consideration in the decision making process. We therefore encourage you to get involved and participate on various levels during the course of this year. Whether you decide to join a club or an organization, sit on a committee, participate on the academic senate or intramural sports and at the same time run for student government, we urge that you do so and make a difference on campus!

Education is not just what we learn in the classroom but also the knowledge and experience that we gain everyday in the real world. Education is not just how much you have committed to memory or how much you know, but your ability to think, communicate, inspire, govern and lead!

Once again, on behalf of the ASI Board of Directors 07-08, we thank you for giving us this opportunity to represent and serve you. We intend to advocate to our fullest potential on your behalf to ensure that your needs and rights are protected!
