2005 Dodge Ball Champs
Fall Intramural Sports
Flag Football -5 on 5 flag football starts Octobober 26th. Games will be held every Thursday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Registration closes Oct. 20thStop by the ASI Business Office for Team Packets. Contact Ed Faso for more information. Games are held in Pioneer Stadium and Mickeljon Lawn. (Fee Based).
Open Weights - Students can drop in and use the Pioneer Weight Room from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Open Weights is held every Tuesday and Thursday. Quarter Fees are: Students - $16.00 / Staff and Faculty $32.00 / General $37.00
Registration Information
To sign-up for intramural tournaments and leagues, visit
the ASI Business Office on the third floor of the University
Union (UU 314) and pickup an event registration packet. This
packet includes information on event times and locations, as
well as forms to complete by individual players. When signing
up as a team, each team much designate a team captain and each
participant must complete and turn in all registration forms
by the specified date. Participants who do not have a team,
also known as free agents, are invited to complete a registration
packet. The intramural sports staff will form teams from the
list of free agents. Upon completion and validation of signed
forms, teams will be notified regarding tournament or league
schedule.
Safety and Liability Information
Accident Insurance
The ASI intramural sports program does not provide intramural
sports participants with health insurance. ASI strongly recommends
personal health insurance for all intramural sports participants.
Each individual participating in intramural sports activities
assumes the responsibility for their own health insurance needs.
In the event of an injury, Associated Students, Inc. and California
State University, Hayward will not cover payment for treatment.
Associated Students, Inc. is insured through the California
State University Risk Management Authority (CSURMA).
Behavior and Sportsmanship
The concept of fair play is not only
about the standards of sportsmanship; abiding by the rules,
but also respecting the game and all its participants and
those involved in the sports activity. It is every player's
responsibility to know and understand the rules of the game.
Officials and field supervisors will not tolerate verbal
abuse or physical threats from players, captains, or spectators.
Inappropriate conduct can result in penalties ranging from
game ejection to lifetime suspension. Any team or individual
involved in a fight will be disqualified from the tournament.
Equipment and Uniform
- Proper attire for each sport activity is mandatory. Proper
attire will help make activities safe and fun for all.
- Participants should not wear any jewelry (earrings, necklaces,
rings, etc.)
- Clothing must permit freedom of movement and not be a threat
to others.
- Clothing with buckles, protruding metal or other objects,
or anything else deemed potentially dangerous will not
be allowed.
- Participants should wear shoes that give adequate traction
and protection, however, no spikes are allowed and bare
feet or sandals are not permitted.
